About Brooks Falls Trail
Brown bears gather at the falls on the Brooks River to catch leaping salmon. Two raised platforms at the end overlook the fishing bears, and July brings the best viewing. Expect frequent bear encounters along the way, so be ready to step off the trail and let them pass. The path is unpaved and often muddy, and wheelchairs can be borrowed at the visitor center.
