About Mount ‘Alava Trail
The trail climbs through lush rainforest where native trees are being restored, and the forest is good for bird and fruit bat watching. Some stretches are steep and rocky with slick footing, so sturdy shoes are worth wearing. From the summit, panoramic views stretch over Pago Pago Harbor and the island's northern and central regions.
