About Sandstone Falls Boardwalk
The boardwalk runs out to two bridges, with islands and observation decks overlooking the falls, and anglers can reach fishing spots along the way. It passes through a riverside flatrock community, where rare plants cling to bare rock and appear in just a handful of spots on fast Appalachian rivers. The flat surface suits most mobility aids, and leashed dogs are welcome. Photographers often linger here for the views.
