About Maple Pass Loop Trail
The loop climbs through forest, meadows and boulder fields where pikas call from the rocks, with wildflowers on the ridgelines in summer and golden larches in fall. From the high points the views reach Black Peak and the Liberty Bell group, and a side trip to Lake Ann leads to a lake sitting in a glacial cirque. Though the route sits just outside the national park boundary, its high points look across the park's peaks.
