About Long Logs Trail
Few spots in the park hold as much petrified wood as this loop, with some of the longest logs tangled where they piled up ages ago beside purple and gray badlands. The first half-mile is paved, while the rest of the route has a rougher surface and narrow turns. Visitors are asked to leave the petrified wood in place. The trail connects to the Agate House, a reconstructed Ancestral Puebloan dwelling built from petrified wood.
