About Douglas Spring Trail
This trail starts in a cactus-filled desert and climbs gradually through rocky ravines and grassy flats, with seasonal streams and waterfalls like Bridal Wreath Falls along the way. The cactus forest here is the kind that inspired the park's creation in 1933, and the trail links into a loop past historic Garwood Dam and Little Wildhorse Tank. The hike culminates at Cowhead Saddle, where panoramic views stretch across the surrounding landscape.
