About Ram Head Trail
The route passes Salt Pond Beach and Blue Pebble Beach before climbing to Ram Head's rocky summit. The land is dry and desert-like with little shade, and some sections are steep and rocky, so bring water. The area is tied to the 1733 African Revolution, when enslaved people on St. John rose against Danish rule. From the top you can see the surrounding islands, and many visitors swim and snorkel at Salt Pond Bay afterward.
