About North Vista Trail
The trail runs along the canyon rim through sagebrush and oak scrub, then into pinyon and juniper woodland. Overlooks look down on Pinyon Draw and the inner canyon, and birding is a highlight. Exclamation Point is one turnaround point, and continuing on to Green Mountain rewards hikers with panoramic views of the San Juan Mountains, the West Elks, and Grand Mesa. Pets are not allowed on this trail.
