About Point Bennett Trail
This trail heads to Point Bennett, where northern elephant seals and California sea lions gather on the beaches of one of the largest pinniped rookeries in the world. Rolling hills give way to ocean views and a rocky point connected by a sandy spit. Because of unexploded ordnance, hikers must be accompanied by a ranger, and rangers lead guided walks out to the point during the summer months. A visitor station sits a short walk away.
