About Mosaic Canyon Trail
A narrow wash opens into a canyon of smooth marble walls polished by flash floods, with breccia outcroppings made of angular rock fragments cemented together. Further in, two dry falls call for scrambling, and a boulder jam stops many visitors short of a second set of narrows. The marble can be slick, especially when wet, so go carefully. The canyon lies in designated wilderness, with no restrooms or rest stops on the route.
