About Sperry Chalet
The Sperry area trail begins at the Sperry trailhead near Lake McDonald (along Going-to-the-Sun Road, across from Lake McDonald Lodge) and climbs into alpine terrain toward the Sperry Chalet and Sperry Glacier. Hikers on this route encounter mountain and glacier views, notable elevation change, and connections to other Lake McDonald valley routes (for example, trails in the Avalanche Lake/Granite Park corridor).
