About Stony Man Trail

A forest walk climbs to the second-highest peak in Shenandoah National Park, where the summit view spans the Shenandoah Valley and Massanutten Mountain. A small loop near the top lets you approach the summit either way. It is popular, so expect crowds, and dogs are not allowed. Skyland's dining rooms and taproom are a short walk from the trailhead.
