About Snake Dike Approach

Follow the Muir Trail to the Mist Trail past Nevada Falls, then continue on the Muir Trail. The path contours around behind Liberty Cap to reach the base of a renowned natural feature. Pass a swampy area and ascend a weakness in the lower slabs to a ledge system. Traverse ledges beneath a steep buttress, hooking back right and up to the climb's base. The approach involves navigating through varied terrain, including trails and slabs, to access one of the most iconic climbs in the valley.
