About Greenstone Ridge Trail
This trail follows the island's highest ridge along its spine, with views over Lake Superior and chances to spot moose and wolves. Much of the western end runs through forest, including a stretch of sugar maples on an old mining road. Its western end is at Windigo, so the visitor center, a diner and a campground sit within a short walk of the start.
