About Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail
This former rail line once carried visitors to nearby caves, and its old roadbed now serves cyclists and walkers. Historic sites, interpretive waysides and scenic overlooks line the way, so there are plenty of stops along the route. Expect some hills and steep grades, so walk your bike at road crossings and wherever signs ask. Helmets are recommended for all riders, and children should stay close by.
