About Kaymoor Miners Trail
This trail drops from the canyon rim to the river past the ruins of the Kaymoor coal mine, which ran for about sixty years. Roughly 800 steps lead down to a coal processing plant, where the old buildings stand behind a fence and are best viewed from outside. The climb back up is a serious workout, and it rewards visitors with a close look at the gorge's industrial past.
