About Lower Canyon Rim Boardwalk
A wooden boardwalk drops from the Canyon Rim area toward a lower overlook, with 178 steps on the way down and back up. Along the way the views open onto the gorge and New River Gorge Bridge. The steps mean this route is not wheelchair accessible, so visitors with mobility limits can take the accessible ramp to the first viewing point instead. It lies a short walk from the Canyon Rim Visitor Center.
