About Dark Hollow Trail
Beside Hogcamp Branch, a stream tumbles down a shaded hollow to a cascade, a popular stop on the park's waterfall trails. Take your time, since the descent is steep and rocky and the return climb is the hardest part. Keep to the path, since wet rocks are slick and no lookout sits at the very edge of the falls. Black bears and timber rattlesnakes are occasionally seen along the way.
