About South River Falls Trail
Descend through a lush forest alongside the South River to reach the base of a tall waterfall. The loop starts at the South River Picnic Grounds, crosses the Appalachian Trail and a single stream, and returns on a fire road and a stretch of the A.T. A stone-walled observation point along the way gives a view of the falls. Keep an eye out for wildflowers and birds throughout.
