About Wind Canyon Trail
Wind-carved cliffs and badlands ridges frame long views down to the Little Missouri River from this out-and-back route off Scenic Loop Drive in the South Unit. Expect uneven footing, loose gravel and a steep climb with widely spaced log steps, and stay well back from the cliff edges, where the ground can be unstable. A small bench sits partway along. Sunset is a popular time here, so arrive early for a spot.
