About Sand Cave Trail
A wheelchair-accessible boardwalk leads to the spot where Floyd Collins became trapped in a cave, a famous and tragic episode in the park's history. Wayside exhibits line the way and tell his story step by step. The trailhead sits near the park's eastern entrance off Cave City Road, and a viewpoint lies within walking distance.
