About Mount Fremont Lookout Trail
The route leaves Sunrise and climbs a short way to Sourdough Ridge, then follows the ridge west past the Frozen Lake junction. From there it crosses the west side of a rocky ridge to a fire lookout built in the 1930s, one of four historic lookouts in the park. Expect open meadows and exposed rocky ground along the ridge. Pets aren't allowed on the trails, and fires are prohibited.
