Eco-Tents and Bare Sites at Cinnamon Bay
Camping inside Virgin Islands National Park is permitted only by reservation, and all of it is based at Cinnamon Bay Beach and Campground.

Guests can choose deluxe eco-tents, platform tent sites, or bare tent sites. Platform tents come with cooking utensils and linens. Cottages are also available on the grounds. Reserve well ahead of your trip.
The campground sits right on Cinnamon Bay Beach, the longest beach in the park. Its sand slopes gently toward the water, and the shoreline is long and white.
The water is very clear, and even beginners can enjoy snorkeling here, where turtles and fish of many sizes and colors are visible. Near Cinnamon Bay Cay, an underwater fish holding pen was likely built by the Taino or their ancestors. An old village lies beneath the water too, along with a plane that went down in the 1940s. Finding them can take a couple of hours, and the Cinnamon Bay Heritage Center and Archaeology Lab has clues about where to look.
Dining and shopping are close by. The Rain Tree Cafe serves breakfast and dinner. The Cinnamon Bay Beach Shop carries souvenirs, clothing, quick food, and other basics, and a snack bar and small commissary are on site too. You can rent windsurfers and kayaks, and a watersports center is right on the sand.
Most of the area is reachable by accessible routes, campsites included. Pavement carries you from the parking lot to the Heritage Center, and from there a sandy path leads down to the beach.
