About Grandview Trail
The Grandview Trail begins at Grandview Point, descends steeply to Horseshoe Mesa, and follows an old mining access route to late 19th/early 20th-century mining operations; remnants and abandoned camps remain on Horseshoe Mesa. The trail is steep, rough, marginally maintained in places, and known for its challenging terrain and historical significance. Much of the trail is exposed to sun in summer, and ice and snow can make hiking treacherous in winter, so use caution.
