About Little Baldy Trail
The trail climbs switchbacks through conifer forest to a granite dome in the northern part of Sequoia National Park. From the top, the Great Western Divide, Mount Silliman and Alta Peak fill the eastern view, while on clear days the foothills stretch out to the west. Wildflowers line the way in summer, and in July you may spot clusters of tent caterpillar nests on the shrubs. Expect icy patches and deep snow in winter and early spring.
